OMG, the whole retina display thing is seriously misunderstood. The iPhone Retina Display is made so that when you hold it at a comfortable viewing distance, you can't discern individual pixels. For the iPhone viewing distance, Apple concluded that anything over 300 ppi (pixels per inch) would be sufficient.For the iPad, you don't hold it as close to your eye as the iPhone. Therefore, the ppi does not need to be as high to get the "Retina Display" effect.And, I know Rene is adamant that you can't change the resolution without increasing it by 2. However, there are ways around increasing the resolution by smaller factors.I'm not sure if they are changing the resolution of the iPad, but they better. The screen looks awful compared to the iPhone 4, and I bet Apple knows it. convert blu ray to mkv it seams obvious the iPhone 3,3 is the new CDMA/GSM qualcom 8gb iPhone 4. That way they have one sku for the low coat version. My guess is the others 4,1 and 4,2 are 4G versions at the least an hspa+ version (LTE in a dream world) for AT&T and a CDMA/gsm world phone for Verizon if they don't do an LTE one. I'm just curious if that qualcomm chip does hspa+ because if it does then it kinda throws a wrench in my thoughts. Rene, like someone else just said.. The more obvious miss for me is why didnt Apple have iOS 4 ready for the iPad when iOS4 was introduced to the iPhone and iPod touch? You didn't mention what was most obvious to me. I don't blame Apple for rushing out the iPad months ahead of the nearest comptitior's tablet� But to have the iPad wait an extra season and a half for ios4 is just beyond me and wished you would of touched on that. free dvd riper Wow� Farbod, make me feel old!

you guys on the right track, but didn't get to the ultimate destination!Flskydiver gets the 1280�960 display right, so 16:9 video can be displayed on iPad 2's 4:3 screen at a "native" 1280�720, letterboxed. that would equal 165 dpi, up from 132 dpi of iPad 1 and just a bit better than the Xoom's 160 dpi.but why? ah! so the iPad can precisely display the coming new AppleTV apps! which will of course have to be in a 16:9 format, and almost certainly at 720p for HDTV's, Apple's iOS HD standard.this will accomplish two important things:first, you will be able to run ATV apps also standalone on your iPad- which is nice tho not essential. but it will be an incentive for developers to come up with innovative new AppleTV apps, which is important.second, you will be able to use the iPad as the UI controller for ATV apps with the same screen image displayed on both your iPad and HDTV at the same time � not "blindly" as a mere trackpad like the Remote app now does. this will be great for when precise UI control is really needed � notably, for a browser and of course, games.this will make the iPad + AppleTV a terrific combo product, and at a better price than Android tabs + Google TV.Then this fall we will see the consummation of all this � the Apple HDTV with ATV built in. but that is another story .. converting vob to wmv Tony is right this simply a carbon fiber process, it is a more durable composite material.
